How does an online home staging course work?

We’ve developed a proven system of providing home staging training in the comfort of your own home. You’ll read our material on our site and then engage your new skills in a series of exercises during the course, if desired. You don’t have to turn the assignments in since they are meant to get you into hands-on mode so you can develop your skills. You’ll use rooms in your own home (or a friend’s house) to practice. It’s an extremely effective way to reinforce the material and build your confidence.

Why is your course priced lower than others?

Our instructor/owner Carrie Miller has been a home staging trainer and school owner for 12 years. Throughout that time, she’s been committed to providing affordable home staging education. Through her former school, she educated thousands on new home stagers and kept the course fees low.

Frankly, some programs give you way more info than you really need when you’re getting started. That long, puffed-up list of items you’ll receive helps them justify a higher price point because they are good marketers.

We’re not going to bog you down with material that you really don’t need when you’re getting started. The purpose of our training is to give you a streamlined, straightforward approach that will give you the most bang for your buck for starting up. We want this dream job known as home staging to be accessible to anyone, regardless of finances.

How long will the program take?

It depends on how much time you can devote to the course. On average, students can complete the course in one to two months, using free time on evenings or weekends. You can take a break anytime, or you can choose to take a fast-track approach and finish the course in just a couple of weeks.

Who is my instructor?

Your lead instructor, Carrie Miller, is a founder of one of the oldest home staging training programs online — with thousands of satisfied students. (A confidentiality agreement precludes us from associating the two programs; however, you can be sure that your instructor has a dozen years of home staging training under her belt!)

How do I get my certification?

There is a $165 fee for the certification course. Our Certified Home Stager/CHS certification is based on a review of your portfolio. We want to make sure your work is at the level it needs to be at for clients. Find more details on our home staging certification program page.

What happens if I have questions after the course is over?

When you finish the course you can always count on us to answer any questions you may have as you get your business started. We have a common goal, and that’s to make your new home staging business a success.
