There are a lot of training options out there and it can take some research to decide on home staging classes that suit your needs, fit your budget, and just feel like the right fit overall. We’re going to give you a brief overview of our program here at School of Home Staging so you can easily get all the facts.
Home Staging Classes at SHS
Let’s start by discussing the home staging online courses that we offer here at SHS.
You can choose an online certification course or you can opt for our eBook course. We’ll go over each in the sections below.
Before we get into the details of our program, let’s address some of the myths surrounding certification so you’re well informed when looking at options.
First, you need to know that certification is not a requirement in the industry.
We talk about this elsewhere on the site and it’s important for you to understand. The reason we offer certification is because it is a useful tool for you and the fact is, when you’re learning these skills on your own or through a home-study program, it’s extremely valuable to have an experienced instructor evaluate your work so that you know you’re working at a professional level.
It’s an evaluation process that lets you and your future clients know that you’re an expert who can deliver a high-quality, valuable service.
Second, there isn’t a definitive credential, accreditation, certification, or membership of any kind that you need to have.
Signing up for a particular program does not automatically translate into success in your business, no matter how thorough or expensive the course.? At SHS, we’ll give you the knowledge you need to hit the ground running and help you succeed from day one.
Home Staging Certification Courses
Our online certification courses are designed to teach you everything you need to know about home staging. The business start-up course is the perfect choice for starting up your own business, as you would expect, and the Realtor’s course is ideal for agents who want to add staging skills to their existing skill set. So, depending on your needs, you can choose the certification program that’s tailored to you.
Certification courses include instructor feedback for any of the optional exercises and assignments that help you get hands-on practice. This practice is our way of giving you one of the best aspects of in-person home staging classes but with the convenience of a home-based course.
You can move through the training material at your own pace. Average time for students to complete the course is about 2 to 3 weeks.
Just to reiterate, there are no industry-wide standards or requirements for training, credentials, accreditations, or certifications. You can choose any program and become certified on the standards of the individual home staging school that you’re working with.
We keep our course fees affordable because we’re on a mission to help artistic, design-oriented, creative types get into a well-paying career.
Certified Home Stager (C.H.S.) designation is included.
Our instructor and founder Carrie Miller has 15+ years of experience in staging and teaching new stagers.
Home Staging eBook
Our home staging eBook is a complete guide to staging homes coupled with our business start-up material. This affordable option gives you the same material as our certification courses. The eBook does not include instructor feedback or certification.
