Yes, You Can Earn a Good Living Doing What You Love…
Why Wait Any Longer? Get Your Home Staging Certification Online with SHS and Get Started Today
Home staging certification can be your ticket your dream job. And you can make it happen, even if you’ve been told that making money doing what you love is just an unattainable, silly pipe dream.
I know I was raised that way. You’re just supposed to get a job (that you may not even like, let alone love), show up every day, five days a week, stick with it, and enjoy your life only on the weekend! One day if you are lucky you can retire.
That’s what I was doing until I found home staging. That may sound like an exaggeration, but hear me out…
I’m a creative type, a natural-born designer, artist, decorator, problem-solver, and a hardworking, hands-on kind of person.
As a kid, I was always in my room making things or moving my furniture around. (Does that sound familiar to you?) I pursued art from an early age, and at the college level I stuck with studio art because the more money-making avenues for people like me just didn’t seem like a fit.
I ended up on a traditional office job path, and it was OK, but it wasn’t utilizing any of the skills that make me special.
Yes, I said it.
Our individual skills, talents, gifts make us special. And you should be able to tap into these gifts every day and get paid for it. Why not?
It was more than 20 years ago that I first learned about home staging, and fast-forward to now…
The unfulfilling jobs were left behind long ago. I’ve successfully flipped houses using my staging skills. I’ve helped countless people make more money on their home sale because of my staging skills.
And I have taught new home stagers how to follow their own dreams while earning $50, $75, $100 per hour.
When I learned how to stage homes, there weren’t any programs that I could find and it took trial and error and lots of practice. Home staging certification didn’t even exist, and neither did associations or membership fees.
The problem with home staging training programs that exist now is that these programs expect you to spend a substantial amount of money, around $1300 or more. And not everyone can make that happen, whether you’re starting out or changing careers.
And because creative types like you are “my people”… and many of us have been unable to become self-actualized, and instead we have worked in an office, or a store, or other jobs that pay the bills but are not really what we’re about, I’ve spent my career as a home staging instructor (and school founder) offering programs that are affordable.
I don’t want the program cost to be the obstacle that keeps you from this rewarding career, and from doing what you’re truly meant to do with your life. That’s my mission statement with School of Home Staging.
(By the way, I should mention the fact that there are no industry-wide certification requirements in home staging. This means you can sign up for any program and they are all equally valid. And since that is the case, why should you overpay for your certificate?)
Now that you know what makes us tick here at SHS, let’s get into the program details…
First, I am often asked about the feasibility of learning a hands-on skill like home staging via online learning.
Over the course of the better part of two decades that I’ve been teaching home stagers, I’ve perfected my methods so that you will get plenty of practice, using rooms in your own home, a friend’s house, or a family member’s house. It works!
And yes, you can learn to be a professional home stager without spending thousands on a program.
The fact is, many of these other “schools” churn out masses of newly minted home stagers like clockwork, without giving you the proper amount of individual attention or opportunities to have your work reviewed.
When you sign up for our home staging certification program you can rest assured that you will get as much individual attention as you want (each student is different in this regard) as you move through the course.
Home staging is a great part-time business, side hustle, or full-time business because you can charge $50 and up per hour for your service, and you don’t need a lot of start-up capital. (Spending tens of thousands on furniture right out of the gate can get you into serious business trouble — we’ll show you how to avoid that.)

It happens to all of us at some point, “life gets in the way”…
The Elite Course is designed to cut through all of that, so that you keep going! This bonus can make the difference for you as you get started. Your instructor, Carrie Miller, will be here for you when you have questions, need advice, want to ask for help with a specific home staging issue, and will just generally be your guide and cheerleader.
