It was more than 20 years ago that I first learned about home staging, and fast-forward to now…
The unfulfilling jobs were left behind long ago. I’ve successfully flipped houses using my staging skills. I’ve helped countless people make more money on their home sale because of my staging skills.
And I have taught new home stagers how to follow their own dreams while earning $50, $75, $100 per hour.
When I learned how to stage homes, there weren’t any programs that I could find and it took trial and error and lots of practice. Home staging certification didn’t even exist, and neither did associations or membership fees.
The problem with home staging training programs that exist now is that these programs expect you to spend a substantial amount of money, around $1300 or more. And not everyone can make that happen, whether you’re starting out or changing careers.
And because creative types like you are “my people”… and many of us have been unable to become self-actualized, and instead we have worked in an office, or a store, or other jobs that pay the bills but are not really what we’re about, I’ve spent my career as a home staging instructor (and school founder) offering programs that are affordable.

First, I am often asked about the feasibility of learning a hands-on skill like home staging via online learning.
Over the course of the better part of two decades that I’ve been teaching home stagers, I’ve perfected my methods so that you will get plenty of practice, using rooms in your own home, a friend’s house, or a family member’s house. It works!
And yes, you can learn to be a professional home stager without spending thousands on a program.
The fact is, many of these other “schools” churn out masses of newly minted home stagers like clockwork, without giving you the proper amount of individual attention or opportunities to have your work reviewed.

How does the certification course work?
It’s simple. Just read through the material, which is organized into short units.
At the end of each unit, there are assignments and practice exercises that you can complete if you wish. If you would like to turn them in for feedback, you may do so. These assignments are not required, they are simply for your own practice.
At the end of the course you will complete the final exam and we’ll review it.
Upon passing the exam, you will get your certificate in the mail shortly afterward.
How long does the certification course take?
The average time to complete the course is 2 – 4 weeks. It depends on how much time you put into it per day.
Typically, students spend about an hour per day on weekdays, and a few hours on the weekend.
It is completely up to you.
Does the course include forms?
No we do not include forms. You can choose from an array of nicely designed home staging forms on etsy for just $20 or $30, and you can select the ones that work best for you.
