How does an online home staging course work?
Read through the course material, which is in convenient PDF format. Do the self-assessment exercises along the way to get some hands-on practice. If you’re taking the certification course, there will be a wrap-up exam and portfolio review. Our instructor/owner Carrie Miller has been a home staging trainer and school owner since 2005. Throughout that time, she’s been committed to providing affordable home staging education. Through her former staging school, she educated thousands of new home stagers and kept the course fees low. The purpose of our training is to give you a streamlined, straightforward approach that will give you the most bang for your buck for starting up. We want this dream job known as home staging to be accessible to anyone, regardless of finances.
How long will the program take?
It depends on how much time you can devote to the course. On average, students can complete the course in a week or two, using free time on evenings or weekends. You can take a break anytime, or you can choose to take a fast-track approach and finish the course in just a couple of days.
Who is my instructor?
Your lead instructor, Carrie Miller, is a founder of one of the oldest home staging training programs online, Home Staging Institute — with thousands of satisfied students. After twelve busy years, she sold the business in order to take care of a family situation and have her first long vacation in a dozen years. During her break, she started formulating a new course and an easier delivery method, and School of Home Staging was born.
How do I get my certification?
Our Certified Home Stager (CHS) certification is based mainly on a review of your portfolio. We want to make sure your work is at the level where it needs to be for clients, and we’re confident that after you’ve gone through the training, you’ll have no trouble passing the review process.
